Hello Everyone,

 The first practice will be, TBD at Gideon Welles School in the Auxiliary gym.

 Days and Times:

   *JV and (first time wrestlers): 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. (Tuesday/Thursday/Friday)

    *Varsity (or invited by coach): 7:00 p.m. - 8:15 p.m. (Tuesday/Thursday/Friday)

    *Season runs from November - March with a Banquet at the end of the season

    *Tournaments are optional (held on Sunday's)


    *Gideon Welles Auxiliary Gym (hallway right next to the large gym - up the staircase)

 What to Wear:

    *Shorts (preferably no pockets), T-shirt, Socks (no street shoes are allowed on the mats), 

     and/or Wrestling Shoes (we will bring our big box of wrestling shoes for swapping,

     donations and first time users), and headgear will be needed as the season continues.


 Registration Dues (2020): Cash or Check (Payable to): Glastonbury Youth Wrestling or GYW)

     *$135 for first wrestler

     *$110 for second family wrestler

     *$85 for third or fourth family wrestler

     *Tournaments are optional and are a separate fee 

 USA Wrestling Dues (2020):

     *Each wrestler must be registered separately through the USA wrestling website by their

       parent or legal guardian at www.usawmembership.com.  


     *Add "Glastonbury Youth Wrestling" as your Club Affiliation so your child is connected.




     *USA membership for 1 year is $43 (you do not need to pay extra for having it laminated,

       however please print out your copy and bring to practice).  

     *This registration is required for any tournaments in the upcoming season and also provides

       insurance protection for the club and your wrestler.


 Club Specific Registration:

    1. Code of Conduct (COC) forms need to be handed in at the first practice.

     2. Registration form needs to be submitted prior to the first practice.

     3. Singlet forms will be completed as needed.



     *Coaches - we are always looking for volunteers who are willing to offer their skills

      and work with the kids (club pays for coaches card and “SafeSport” training) - No wrestling

     *There are many other areas to help out, such as; taking photos during practices or 

      competitions, helping with the banquet, and helping kids check in when they arrive.  Please use
